Much controversy surrounds pregnancy and melanoma. In the past, the two were thought to be linked. More current evidence may not back that up. Melanoma is the #1 cancer for women in their late 20's - also prime childbearing years. There are not a lot of studies done on this, but some studies exist as well as support sites.

Melanoma - A malignant neoplasm derived from cells that are capable of forming melanin, which may occur in the skin of any part of the body, in the eye, or, rarely, in the mucous membranes of the genitalia, anus, oral cavity, or other sites.
